Glyphr Studio is a free, open-source (GPL-3.0) font editor built for typeface design beginners and hobbyists. Draw individual glyphs on a vector canvas, build up component parts you can reuse across letters, adjust kerning between character pairs, and export your work as a real, usable font file. The build here is self-hosted directly from the glyphr-studio/Glyphr-Studio-2 project's own source and runs entirely client-side: nothing you design is ever uploaded to any server by this site.
How to use
- Start a new project from scratch, or load/restore an existing one, from the landing screen.
- Draw and edit glyph shapes on the vector canvas — add points, curves, and reusable components.
- Fine-tune kerning between character pairs, then export your typeface as a font file.
